I haven't posted for absolutely ages. Sorry about that. Here's a quick overview then I'll do separate entries for some of the things I've been doing both photography wise and on the acting front.
ACTING: Since the Drama Direct workshop I have played Superintendent Robert Eklund in "Hindsight" a web series produced by Screenology in Bristol. Following that I auditioned for a short film entitled Giggles, was offered a lead part but unfortunately due to time constraints on the director it had to be shelved. Then I was offered a part in a feature film shooting early 2020 playing Detective Kaminski in "Suppression" shortly after that I was offered the part of Pete who is the father of the leading lady in another feature film called "I Love You Goodbye". I have already filmed some of my scenes from that but have some more to do in December.
Then a few weeks ago I auditioned for a part in a potential television drama called "Bad Criminals" playing the head of a criminal gang. After the audition I was asked to submit a self tape which I did and was then offered the part. So all in all going well on my 2 year plan to turn professional as an actor.
PHOTOGRAPHY: After my last photography entry things went very quiet, shortly after Nathalie and Ryan's wedding I had to go into hospital for my second total knee replacement, then I changed my working pattern (gave up my job with the Red Cross) to concentrate on getting it together on the acting front. In October 2018 I started a winter season at Icescape @ The Tropicana in Weston Super Mare (https://icescape-tropicana.co.uk)
, initially working on ride operations and skate exchange but throughout November and December I was playing the man with the long white beard in the grotto. Had such an amazing season that I applied for this winter season and am currently working there, about to start in the grotto again. Last Sunday Icescape had a special event, "The Snow Sisters" joined two of the skating sessions so out came the cameras. I'll bee posting some of the pics from that separately.
